Darren’s abrasive brand of wit has seen him make award-winning appearances on the comedy stage.
In 2019, Darren won the Liverpool Comedy Festival, which saw a group of first-time comedians perform short sets to raise money for Wirral Mencap, a charity helping adults with a learning disability.
Covering everything from showering habits to how to get off a plane correctly, Darren’s hilarious set is not for the weak of heart or stomach, but was loved by the audience, who voted it their favourite.
Covid saw the following two years’ events cancelled, but Darren returned to the stage in 2023 with a brand new set for Wirral Mencap’s Legends Comedy Night. Even darker than his previous performance, this one got a few winces from the crowd, but also some uproarious laughter – enough to secure him a top three finish on the night.
